Also the whole plant and the fruit are called prickly pear, but when I see it for sale, it’s Tuna. Nopales taste sort of like green peppers to me. Florida. It’s this plant, nopales are the leaves, tuna is the fruit. Also the whole plant and the fruit are called prickly pear, but when I see it for sale, it’s Tuna. Nopales taste sort of like green peppers to me.
