It’s really not a big ask for people to skip sports and concerts for one year. Buy merch from struggling artists if you’re worried about them. But, this will never happen because of FOMO and selfishness. They’ll just bitch about the monopoly while giving them endless money. The people have massive power if they pull together. But ‘fuck you, I got mine’ is the primary American motivation.
