like idk if I’m ace or not because I dont dislike the idea of doing it with someone, but like my drive to do it is really low compared to how other people describe it
I’m also on estrogen, progesterone, an antidepressant, and 2 different kind of anxiety meds and they are probably a factor worth mentioning
Plenty of ace people feel completely neutral towards sex, not actively disliking it. Some ace people even choose to have sex occasionally because their partners enjoy it, and they personally do not object.
Ultimately whether the label fits you or not is your choice, but there may be a community of people who share your position.
Yeah all those meds can have sex drive impacts, so that’s definitely going to muddy the waters, but you need your meds so it kinda makes your medicated state your status quo. I’ve got ADHD which has it’s own sexual complications and antidepressants as well and I feel like sex isn’t particularly important to me, like I’ll have it if it’s going down, but not bothered if it’s not. But for me it’s like I almost wish I cared more? Like I miss the days of being a dumb horny teenager but just a fleeting thought, along with the rest of my fleeting thoughts… SQUIRREL!
