Some may have believed they were against AI being used for war. They just don’t want it to make the final kill decision.

The argument given by those supporting them is that AI in the military was inevitable, so their position is a reasonable one.

They just don’t want it to make the final kill decision.

This is the actual “killer” application of “AI” under capitalism. It’s a machine that generates permission to murder people with impunity.

And if they’re not literally killing people, they’ll be using these computer programs to take away housing, healthcare, other human needs, etc. as we’ve already seen happening.

I’m not sure how people saw that they signed a $200 mill contract with the Pentagon and somehow came away with the idea that the Pentagon wouldn’t use it for war.

Not that internally hosted applications don’t have downtime but certainly they have it running on DoD servers and not the public cloud, right?

remembers who the current administration is

      Oh god.

Do you mean the service going down, like it has this morning, or if Anthropic folds as a company?

Yeah, I mean, would these clowns decision making ability go down if claude goes down?

Could we correlate rates of strike occurrence to Claude/ OpenAI uptime?
