Texas Democrats are claiming victory over their Republican counterparts in their redistricting clash and could return to the state, according to a new report.

Concretely, ABC News detailed that lawmakers are planning on returning to the state if Republicans effectively adjourn the special session called to that end on Friday.

In a release published on Tuesday, Democrats said they “have killed this corrupt special session on behalf of Texas families, exactly what we said we’d do when we left the state.”

However, a spokesperson later told the outlet that plans could change if the GOP changes its strategy over the next days.

“Gov. Greg Abbott said the session will adjourn on Friday if Democrats don’t return by then”

Sounds like a trap. Adjourn, get everyone back, then “EMERGENCY SPECIAL SESSION!!”

Exactly what will happen, and with those warrants in affect, the Democrats won’t be able to escape out of state this time. So for them to claim victory now is stupid. But its par for the course for Democrats. They only pretend to stand up and fight. Democrats are letting fascism run wild with no end in sight.

Never come back. Completely shut down the state government and force them to fast track their desired one party state (and trigger some uprising) or just get nothing done at all. Either way people will get mad and start demanding real action.

            Never come back.

That would be vacating their seats, in which case Abbott will just appoint crony replacements and the districts will pass.

Ah yes, anarchy. Usually lasts for 1-3 turns. No city growth, no production. YMMV once you convert to a new political ideology.
