The man who suggested people drink bleach during the COVID pandemic is back with another hit.
Donald Trump reportedly thinks soda is good for him, because it kills grass — and therefore it must also kill cancer cells.
The wild revelation comes via Dr. Mehmet Oz, Trump’s administrator for Medicare and Medicaid, who shared the anecdote on Donald Trump Jr.’s podcast Tuesday.
“Your dad argues that diet soda is good for him because it kills grass if you pour it on grass, so therefore it must kill cancer cells inside the body,” Oz told Trump Jr. in disbelief, to which Trump Jr. just laughed and shrugged knowingly.
Wait, does this mean Trump has cancer? Was Oz making news here?
Oz was making news in the sense of ‘announcing’ that Trump thinks Coke kills cancer.
So thats about the same level as uh… ‘I take BRAINFORCE because it makes me smart’ or ‘I use colloidal silver because it keeps you healthy’.
Its not directly stating that Trump has any medical condition, its basically just saying he’s an overconfident dumbass who believes in medical quackery.
But he wouldn’t even be thinking about cancer or its potential treatments unless it was directly relevant to him, right? Because he only thinks about himself? Optimistic speculation?
I mean, developing cancer of some kind is just broadly more likely as you age.
If you’re ~60+, the chances of cancer being what kills you go up significantly
So, the general idea of wanting to not have cancer, and trying to do things that will make it more likely you will not develop cancer, is not particularly odd or specific in itself.
Of course… soda consumption as a means of doing this is dubious, it would make much more sense to basically develop a healthy diet, and stick to that, as a means of staving off cancer.
Trump is notoriously a bit of a germaphobe, and also famously doesn’t drink. Or at least he says he doesn’t drink.
He’s just generally concerned about his health… but he’s a fucking idiot, he so does that by way of essentially superstitions.

You mean… he thinks it ‘kills’ cancer in the sense of ‘he already has cancer, so it must be elimated from within him’.
Yeah ok so this is hard to explain factually, but basically, if you know older Boomers or Silent Gen, they very often just use ‘kills’ in that context to functionally mean ‘keep you clean inside’ or ‘prevent’.
Its… kind of a muddled and not totally literal use of the word.
I think the point was that this dude is incapable of thinking about anything beyond himself, so if he’s talking about trying to cure cancer, then there’s a distinct possibility that he’s got it.
No, it’s actually way stupider than that. Because even if “BRAINFORCE” doesn’t actually make you smart, at least that’s what they tell you it does.
