for millions of Americans, voting IS deliberately made extremely difficult if not downright impossible so that the fascists are competitive in elections in spite of only ever appealing to an ever-shrinking minority of potential voters.

Fascist candidates were also doing just fine before. The supposedly better ability to vote didn’t change anything.
