Most of them aren’t bad songs, per se, but a lot of what I’m seeing here are songs that got way too much airplay, so I understand why they’re hated. Most of us aren’t toddlers; we don’t want to hear the same song over and over again every single day, especially given how much underplayed talent there is out there in the world.
Yeah, I think you’re right. Mine was Like A Virgin, and it was super popular so I imagine a lot of people love it. And I hate it for being over-played.
I’m old, so I remember what it was like to have presets on the radio and I’m not even making this up. One time that song was playing on ALL five of my preset stations in my car, at the same time.
Wait, radio presets aren’t a thing anymore? I’m 37 and I still rely on them to this day! My 30-year-old GF does too.
But I get what you mean. On more than one occasion I’ve heard the same song on 4 different stations as well (the first time I saw it happen, the song was Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams). That’s why I alternate my listening time in the car between FM and whatever I find on Android Auto.
You know, I’ve moved on to sources other than radio too and kind of forgot they ARE still a thing aren’t they? LOL. But yeah, that used to be ALL we had.
Man, it’s scary how many of these hated songs I like.

I love around half of these songs. I also like trash music, which I know, but like, I have a lot of these on my phone in a workout playlist.
