There are a huge number of country bumpkins that saw Portland on the TV during 2020 and assumed/were mislead into believing the whole city burned down and it’s just a smoldering wasteland now. The actual problems were in a relatively small area downtown; most of Portland was unaffected.

I work with people in the software engineering field that have mentioned wanting to visit Portland but ask me if it’s safe.

      I can’t even.

I won’t lie, the city has had problems but people’s online rants about it are always overblown and always from people who don’t live or visit there.

Plus, that was a long time ago. I drive by the Seattle “snowflakes beware” area a lot. It’s just Seattleites doing their thing.

He’s feeding on this storyline so he can get some “radical leftist antifa” to shoot a national guardsman, then he has the greenlight to start opening fire. It’s a great storyline, top ratings, the biggest, everyone is talking about it. Grown men, tears in their eyes.
