friend.com I’m sorry but I don’t think anyone is idiot enough to wear a device that is always listening to you and talking to you pretending to be your friend. This is a disaster waiting to happen. If social media was killing mental health, imagine what this will do.

I feel like It’d be mostly clueless kids, because a lot people who don’t understand the psychological risks are probably still scared of AI and don’t want it in their lives. (At least in my experience.)

I hate to disappoint you, but there are a lot of clueless adults who lap up all kinds of surveillance tech.

True, though a lot of the clueless adults believe that AI is gonna grow a conscious and kill us and henceforth are scared of it

At least as many believe the bullshit that it will replace all our jobs and therefore we won’t have to work anymore.

I work with a lot of people that are a lot less software tech savvy than a below average Lemmy user. Their thought scare me. I spend a lot of time educating them, trying not to be holier than them and all that bullshit.

It’s easy to think that your thoughts and those of people that surround you are the “mainstream”.

We all exist in our own little bubble worlds. It takes a lot more work than you think to even begin to understand a majority of people.
