      We didn’t just become fascist. It’s just that the outgroups are now visible to certain people and social classes who were previously shielded from views

        The ones starting to see fascism now have been shielded from its impact by privilege, until now (first they came…). While leftists and marginalized groups have been saying for decades that fascism is here and it’s bipartisan we’ve been told to STFU.

        More to the point, those groups are the ones now holding power. They’ve always been around, but not held this kind of power in much of the US in a long time.

      Only what about 5-10% of people believe. The rest were just too stupid to know better and voted along with them or didn’t vote against it.

      5-10% of American voters is still multiple millions of people who are behaving like rabid dogs right now.
