The only thing that makes this reasonable (to me) would be if a qualifying question was “have you ever used a chatbot”. 1/3 would still be high, though another commenter notes that it’s actually closer to 1/4, but still. I can potentially believe 1/3 people who have interacted with chatbots have had some kind of romantic interaction with them. I don’t want to come across as anti-science, but the results are very strange, even if it was just 1/4 people who have used a chatbot in the first place.
