I saw an article yesterday about reading being at record lows, especially reading for pleasure. Less than 50% of Americans said they read a book of any kind in 2025 iirc.
I have a hard time reading but that’s more because I like writing so much that if there’s a story I want to read I can just make it myself. I do want to read so I can study how other writers work, but I’d rather do that after I finish a draft
To be fair, paper books are quite popular with the younger generations. It’s lovely to see.
