I mean, I get why diversity is important, and that the concept itself isn’t about that. But in implementation, there certainly are cases where that’s how it happens. Pretending it never does is disingenuous and doesn’t help solve the issue.
Maybe we could all stop viewing life as a zero-sum game or an endless competition where we need to step on other people’s toes in order to boost ourselves up.
Maybe we should put the focus on learning to coexist instead of perpetuating endless cycles of grievance and retaliation for perceived wrongs.
I don’t know exactly, can’t guarantee what will work, but those two things seem like a good starting point.
