It has some grains of truth but it’s mingled with too much personal opinion.

There are studies on how much water humans really need. If you want to calculate it the scientific way, you need to factor in at least lean muscle mass, total mass, surface area, ambient temperature and humidity, activity levels, and diet. There’s no magic number of ounces that’s correct for everyone.

Fortunately we’ve evolved a really awesome mechanism. When your body needs more water, you get thirsty.

So if you want to stay properly hydrated, drink whenever you feel even a little thirsty.

ADHD can make you completely ignore that signal for way, way too long.

My body also misinterprets that signal as “hunger”, and a craving for some wet food. Maybe like yogurt or a cup of pudding. You know something that just slides down easy. Yeah #thisiswhyimfat.

          Yep…
Take my meds and of to the race on one cup of tea at the morning.
Sometimes I will remember the bottle of water on my table in front of my monitors at work. Sometimes.

Me too. Sometimes I feel like I must get thirsty in a reasonable way, but when I actually notice the sensation is another matter. At other times I’m incessantly thirsty.

After about 23C I swear a lot. I definitely need to replenish what I lose or I get drowsy

We can seperate regions easily enough and their peak humidity seasons. You just need to factor in sedentary, semi active, active and athletic lifestyles.
