I think it’s easy to argue that whether they know it or not, people care more about art than anything else. TV, movies, and now Internet content is all art in some way or another and these things fill people’s lives. Not to mention literature and any other type of writing that isn’t just strictly informational. Art is everywhere and people kind of obsess about it. Not really sure how a person could be sentient and miss that.
Tv, movies, books, and 99.9% of internet content is art made by committee. Once the suits are involved it’s hardly any different from collabing with ai, in fact I think it’s worse.
I’m not really sure how you think this changes the point because it doesn’t. People care about art, full stop. Art is not any one thing separate from society, it is everywhere in society. Doesn’t matter if you think it’s been watered down, people still care about it.
