    Well, I suppose it’s better than an enthusiastic “Yes!”

    At least they still have the decency to be embarrassed about it.

      He very clearly stated that such an order is ‘preposterous’. meaning ‘not legal’. How much clearer an answer could you ask for?

        I don’t think this is necessarily the case. And certainly not a sure thing when reading it into someone else’s words.

        (And even if it does mean ‘not a legal order’ … does that mean he’ll actually refuse the order?)
