I waddled onto the beach and stole found a computer to use.

Nice username 😄
Oops, the elephant ate the banana

Does anyone have the original photos of each, especially the second one?
How do I know if it’s a big or small grape?

It feels like being back on the playground
“nuh uh, my laser is 1000% more powerful”
“oh yea, mine is
googleplexgoogolplex percent more powerful”

This is so detailed, especially the ISP bit. Thank you!
Feel free to cross post to !canada@lemmy.ca :)

I find it odd, but a lot of newer users on Reddit go with the default suggested username and those follow the word-word-0000 template.
At the same time, it might be better for privacy to do that since it’s less likely that someone can track you across platforms if you use the generator built into each platform.

The government definitely could have been the ones to take the lead on this. Reading the article, it seems like the solution is for Canadians to get on the platform and show that we’re here
Lamrock said that most of X’s value comes from the days when it was Twitter and the fact that many governments are still on the platform from those days.
The City of Fredericton recently stopped suing X, but spokesperson Marley McLellan said the decision was made after a survey that showed residents were using X less and less to find information about city services.
“The city looks forward to continuing to share information and connect with residents on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, the website and through newsletters,” McLellan wrote in an email.
Are people really getting government updates through LinkedIn?

I had to double-check what Deflock was for:
DeFlock’s mission is simple: to shine a light on the widespread use of ALPR technology, raise awareness about the threats it poses to personal privacy and civil liberties, and empower the public to take action.
This app makes it easy to view and report AI powered surveillance cameras, automatic license plate readers (ALPRs), and other surveillance infrastructure near you.
Sharing information about where cameras are located is terrorism now?
🙄
I’m also thinking of video games, but mine isn’t as realistic:

Whoops, I meant to say “only downside”. Edited it
There are lots of positive differences
Unless I misunderstood, it will eventually dry up? Investors aren’t going to be willing to give money with no returns indefinitely

The only difference downside really is the occasional extension that needs a manual install.
I’ve been trying out VSIX Manager for my extensions so that I can keep track of which ones I want to install on each machine. This can make it easier to install the weird extensions that you can’t install otherwise
RadioShack is still around. Not sure how good it is.
Interestingly, it started as a mail order business in the 1920s, switched to retail stores in the 1960s, and then in 2017 it switched back to an online only / mail delivery business.

While I agree with that, I think it would be better if you shared this as a text post with your own title and discussion + the link / context in the body of the post. That way the post is still specific to the community, and both users and mods can quickly see that it is indeed relevant to the community :)
Maybe it’s a banana pepper? The yellow green thing under the crust at the bottom right
Edit: my bad I misremembered, wrong pepper
I’d love it if platforms would implement a toggle to switch from infinite scroll to pagination
