Would it have made the meme better? This is a pretty clear-cut example where I think it does practically 0 harm to generate a better image. OP isn’t going to hire an artist to draw Marx, and OP doing a shitty job drawing it would certainly add some degree of amateurish charm, but it wouldn’t make the meme better. If we are to be Marxists, as the meme implies, there is no actual benefit to making the meme the way you imply.
What would the difference be in grabbing a stock image of Marx? This meme itself is already an older one reposted. How does the AI image make the meme worse beyond your gut reaction that anything using AI is inherently bad? That seems to be more of a moralistic reason to oppose AI usage than a materialist one.

As the character gets older it seems like in the same way the original gave young people ways to understand their feelings of anger and sadness, it wouldn’t be the worst idea to have a fully serious but carefully done movie or just short film on dealing with what happens when the feeling ‘Horny’ takes the controls.
