Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries on Sunday said Democrats have a plan to mobilize gerrymandering in more blue states if Republicans continue mid-decade redistricting efforts under the direction of President Donald Trump.
Jesus fuck, piss or shut the fuck up.
Reminder that doing this at this point while cathartic in the fact that would mean Democrats are finally not stupid and playing the game but the game is unwinnable at this point because they’ve high roaded themselves into a completely unwinnable situation with this.
I’m so sick of them talking about doing stuff. Stop giving the opponents time to prepare, just fucking so the things we need to do to stop the fascists.
If you don’t stop we’re gonna start.
Bullshit. Start anyway. They are doing it. And you can (and should) slow it down as much as possible through courts, where applicable…but a lot of what they are doing is totally “legal”…just…outside of the normal decorum of civilized politics.
They are sitting there taking three punches to the face and one to the nuts, and hoping the ref does something about the nut punch. Fuck man. Punch them five times in the kidneys.
If?
Fuck them.
Exactly. There’s no reason to pin our actions to theirs anymore. They have no rules.
Do it, stop pussyfooting around! Stop threatening and DO IT
Nike: Just do it
Jeffries has the ability to shyly hint at retaliation against Republicans.
Jeffries has the ability quickly to plan and execute political strategies to thwart any and all progressive candidates.
Just fucking do it.
What is this “if” business? They’ve been openly doing this for decades. Take REDMAP for example. Democrats have failed to respond.
As long as democrats fail to respond and just play defense, they will continue to need 53% of the vote to win the presidency and will continue losing federal and state legislative majorities.
Has anyone done the numbers nationwide? If everyone min-maxes their preferred party, where would we stand? What gains would be made? So wins?
Republicans policies are universally unpopular.
Haven’t done the math, but the prevailing thought seems to be red states already extensively gerrymandered their districts to retain what they have, blue states potentially have more juice to squeeze.
Red states outnumber blue states close to 2 to 1 though. Even if blue gains more proportionally they might still lose more overall.
True, but consider the Electoral College:
How DARE he even THINK about doing SOMETHING that would Give his POOR Constituents Power!
