I was at a mall and was laughing at an ai washing machine with friends. the manager, standing nearby, overheard us and said “you know what? these ai models are exactly same as the older ones from inside. yet we launched a campaign to ‘upgrade’ the models to ai and more than 50% of customers are accepting it, paying us money and returning happy with the discount we give lol”.
Especially broad when things that have no intelligence keep getting branded “artificial intelligence”.
