Acceptance is the first step in becoming a happier person - if not even you can stand being trapped in a room with yourself, how could I possibly in good conscience recommend you inflict this hot mess on a real, well meaning person like a therapist?

AI therapy isn’t ideal by any stretch, but a sycophant box is a good first step for you to learn how to handle your emotions without causing harm to other, real people. I know it’s hard to be like this, but I believe in you op, you can get through this. You will get through this.

And you had been doing so well. Sigh, I guess there’s always tomorrow. Don’t get discouraged sport, we’ll get there together!

I think the point isn’t if you believe in therapy, it’s if it believes in you in return. The classic lightbulb joke has more than a little truth to it, you can only change if you can accept that you want to change. Wallowing in your misery does nothing but let you fester.

Well yeah, who could wallow in that?

I mean okay no, you could totally wallow in that in a positive way. Hence why that was hardly the misery I was speaking to, nor the festering that’s clearly at work here.

Oh wait, you’re play pretending to be an armchair psychologist on the threadiverse!

Now your entire dismissal makes sense.

So, how do we end fascism in Illinois?

You don’t need to be a psychologist to recognize someone else in pain, that’s just… empathy.
