It really captures the zeitgeist of the dystopia. Half of us were worried we’d get 1984, and the other half, Brave New World. While we were fighting, we got a little bit of both. Sure, one’s a lot worse than the other. I don’t want to “both sides” this issue. Still, getting neither option would have been cool.

Yeah, the people whose brains have been poisoned by far too much money and power tend to see warnings in dystopian fiction as aspirational.

They keep gleefully building the fucking Torment Nexus 🤦

Okay but see i really liked the tormeny nexus series, especially the ending of the first book where the hero is subsumed by the torment nexus, and this just… it just feels like the future, you know? Maybe, if you don’t jack off to the torment nexus; you’re just a silly no-fun luddite who hates the future and freedom and feudalism and the delicious delicious blood of children and the master race and want labor to be necessary forever, and need to die in the purges?

Did you think of that? Because I thought of that because im special. I’m going to go cry now while i order your death, because you disagreed with me.

sob the torment nexus loves me. The tormemt nexus understands me.
