They wont. America is the worst country for being all talk zero action. They’d rather let the entire world get annihilated than do anything actually meaningful to improve their lives and the lives of the people who they share a planet with.

Watch them all down vote these comments because they can’t face the truth.

The fact is that without violent revolution they will never be a democracy again. When Biden won in 2020 the GOP in each state government they controlled made sure that their voting districts all favored Republicans and made voting difficult for anyone who wasn’t white, straight and Christian, resulting in orange Hitler returning to power in 2024. There is no possible way for them to vote or peacefully protest their way out of fascism.

“It’s not my fault, I voted for Harris!” Your votes dont mean shit and you have to either stop being cowards and do the work that needs to be done or at the very fucking least accept that when other countries are criticizing the American citizens for the things their country does, they are ALSO talking about you. Not just the MAGA people.

As an American… I think most people here are extremely out of touch with what reality actually is. People here have enough privilege to not even see reality. It’s like people are very sheltered. Or at least it seems that way. Truth and reality don’t seem to be accepted here. Like it’s taboo. It’s like we aren’t supposed to know.

Is it really that? Because I’ve been to the states quite a few times and some of the places I’ve seen are far worse for standards of living than even the sketchiest neighbourhoods in my country. And it sounds like its about to get a lot harder to afford things like health insurance real fast for you guys. Like wtf is the breaking point there exactly?

Its not the privileged that piss me off so much as the down and out still fighting tooth and nail against any change. I can under stand the well off that have homes and a retirement plan that goes beyond a single bullet and a note. But the people barely making ends meet, or not making them meet at all tend to blame it all on “the other guys team” and just keep supporting the same system slowly crushing them.

And the wild part to me is we are not talking about some sort of socialist action, just normal for the literal rest of the world stuff.

In general, yea. Just gonna be more performative nonsense because they don’t actually care about this, they care about keeping up the lie that America is about “freedom and liberty”, who wholesale bought the lie but just want to break from this country’s racist origins because it makes them feel icky to think about. They only care so far as it’s convenient for them to do so; ask them to make any changes to their status quo, take some risks against the system for the sake of those who don’t have the choice to avoid those risks, and suddenly you’ve gone to far.

Any that do actually want to change things most likely can’t because of the socioeconomic conditions they face; they are stuck in a community that calls them crazy or, even if they do happen to have a small community of like minded people, they don’t have enough access to the means by which to start building something useful.

There are a small number of people that have successfully been able to get something started trying to make things better around the country but they are so few and far between that it barely makes a dent.

It’s less that we want this but more than there isn’t anything we can do. What do you expect me to do? Vote? Both parties support US imperialism. Run up to the White House with a hunting rifle and launch the revolution? They’re just going to have one of their dozens of snipers shoot me and I’ll be dead. I have zero options other than to just say it’s bad to anyone who is willing to listen.
