The main problem with X as a platform name is that it creates a lot of ambiguity that takes multiple reads to figure out. Twitter is unambiguous.
i get not wanting to call x by its old name (because people who do that sometimes do it to ignore what it has become), but don’t call this “deadnaming” please. it trivializes deadnaming and what it does.
corporations are not people, they don’t get to have deadnames.

Of course I do. Twitter is dead. Calling it Twitter now only enables people to keep imagining continuity when they need to leave if they were fond of what it was. Elon only profits from any cachet that name still has.
