Companies would work as they normally do, perhaps even better without egomaniacs controlling them for once. The real work happens much further down the chain if command.
Politicians would have to be replaced, but except for some early voting in some areas the impact would be quite small. There are rules for politicians leaving office before their term ends, or else every politician who died or gets convicted would be a major problem.
