Well, we really do not know and both options are equally possible… you are just taking one side with no evidence and complain about the other side for doing the same
You’re right, when I first read this article, not much had come out in the details of what happened and I had assumed the discussion was much more civil than it was later revealed to be. The guy still deserves jail time regardless but it seems significantly more likely now that this was a case of malicious intent turned into claims of “an accident”. Even if he didn’t know it was loaded he still took intentional actions.
