That subreddit is astroturfed like nobody’s business and their censorship makes North Korea look a bastion of free expression. I bet if you went into the comments right when it was posted you’d have seen some halfway reasonable takes, but those comments have all been deleted and their authors banned.
Whether it’s true or not, having some of them believe it might encourage some of the cowards on the fence to leave the cult, and if it does i say thats a win.

How about, anyone leaving that cult at this point is not a coward? Some of these people just fell for the lies and are rather stupid and scared. Not saying we should give them a full pass, but we need to celebrate them waking up.
Cowardice is defined as ignoble fear in the face of danger or pain. If they are falling for lies because they are stupid or scared, that is them being controlled by fear, which is cowardly.
If you let someone manipulate you using fear, I consider you a coward. Fantastic if someone wakes up, then maybe we can re-evaluate their coward status, but until then I consider them cowards, personally.
