All of this because of one Bible verse taken out of context.

As a rabbi once told me, the whole “those who bless you, I will bless, and those who curse you, I will curse” statement is not intended to apply to the entity known as the State of Israel, which was created in the 20th century. It’s more broadly an injunction against antisemitism. One can oppose the State of Israel and be supportive of the wellness of Jews. The irony is that people like Graham are probably DEEPLY antisemitic when you talk to them. I was raised by such people and I can tell you, definitively, they only care about Israel (the State) because they believe that doing so will result in God granting financial blessings to them. They don’t care about Jews. They care about the money they believe God will give them for publicly saying that they support the State of Israel. That’s it. If anything, supporting Israel is a means to getting Jesus to come back (in their theology), which means that Israel is ultimately a footnote in all of this for them.

Much of the Republican party base is made up a radical fundamentalist Christians who see a war in the Middle East as being a requirement for Armageddon (which they see as a good thing). The answer to your unasked question is religion.

          Thanks for the insight too.

Just a different world ay. I mean we have them here too but they’re far less common and deranged.

You are more than welcome. When I was a teenager I was a “Born Again” Cristian. I am now an atheist. I remember when I was in that mindset, seemingly innocent things, could appear “satanic” and that the end always seemed right around the corner, making long term planning pointless

I think the heavy leaning on antisemitism, is just a convenient scapegoat / straw man to distract from committing genocide aka colonising, in this day and age. If they all say the things, in unison, they can keep collecting their money / take the valuable resources they covet. None of them believe the words they say, it’s a tactic to tangle you up in arguing around different topic and sidetracking. They’ve gotten you off topic, they’re controlling the narrative, they set the rules and parameters of the definitions of things, you have to spin your wheels arguing against a statement, designed to cause you frustration, and be difficult to answer. You can’t argue logic or morality or justifications, with someone who isn’t talking to you in good faith, they’re only design is to obsfucate, and that’s all you’ll get from them. They’re used to a time when the people reporting the events to the populous, were in thier pocket, if not actually controlled by them. Those times are changing, rather than enter into dialogue or discussion with them, or about their arguments, the power is in showing their actions, something they’re losing control of, and desperately scrabbling to get back, with the purchase of tiktok.

      There is another explanation:

He is a member of a Sky Daddy cult that believes he will help God bring about Paradise by helping Israel (God’s People) run all of this one Special Plot of Land on Earth.

Members of this cult read the semi-literate liberation myths of Bronze-age peasants and think: “Aha! THE TRUTH as revealed by GOD!”

The pedophile thing I can at least comprehend, but when it comes to religious mumbo jumbo my brain checks out completely.

Those of us in the Reality-based community must, as a matter of self-preservation, understand that the VAST MAJORITY of decision-makers on this planet are solidly in the Faith-based community.

It is a totally different worldview. Once you have God Almighty on your side – how can any temporary Earthly horror not be justified to bring the return of the Prince of Peace and the Rapture that will follow?

This is not fanfic to – again, must repeat for emphasis – the majority of the world’s leaders.

High time to get rid of such a traitorous asshole. He puts a foreign countries interest over the own ones. That basically is the very definition of treason.
