MAGA shows support for Trump’s war in Iran, despite prominent conservative media figures pushing back against the president
Supporters of Donald Trump’s MAGA base overwhelmingly support the war in Iran, with nearly 90 percent backing the president’s military attacks, according to the polls.
CNN’s Chief Data Analyst Harry Enten shared recent polling on MAGA’s approval of military action in Iran on Tuesday. An average of 89 percent approve of the war, while just 9 percent disapprove.
“This is tremendously popular among the Republican base,” Enten said of the U.S.-Israeli strikes that began more than two weeks ago.
Enten’s data was based on a post from Gabe Fleisher’s Wake Up To Politics Substack published last week. Referenced in Felisher’s post was an NBC News poll that found 90 percent of MAGA supporters backed the military strikes.
An example of selection bias
“We asked a group of people defining themselves as approving of everything Trump does if they approve of this thing Trump did, and the results are overwhelming!” What would be more interesting is whether that actual group has stayed the same size ever since he made his latest decisions
Yeah, there has been a trend of people claiming they are disillusioned with Trump over gas prices and starting another war. 90% approval seems “high”.
Except that somehow the number of so called maga republicans has actually been increasing
