33% is still shockingly high
29% of voters voted for him in 2024. It’s literally just his cult supporting him at this point–he’s lost the entire rest of the country. Finally.
1/3 people support the pedophile in chief. Lmao. Let that sink in. “Craters” lol
MAGAs would eat his poo if he told them it was lobster, and accuse us of treason for not eating the “lobster.”
sone of them would forgive him raping their young daughters and say it must have been gods will.
They’d blame the girl for “enticing” these holy Men O’God.
“Craters”

Journalist looks at a slow genty downward slope…
Looks like your screenshot is a month out of date (arc)
Only 33% of U.S. adults approve of Trump’s overall job performance, down slightly from 38% last month.
Whether a 5% drop is “slightly down” or “cratering” is a pretty subjective thing, but that’s a sharper decline than we have seen previously.
no, it’s the same exact slope, and it’s 0.9% not 5%. it’s a minor error bar on a long downward trajectory. He hasn’t changed trajectory, if you want to say it cratered, you need to something that’s changing the trajectory. less than 1% is just a continued shitty slide.
Can’t believe it kinda recovered early last summer. Wasn’t that when he was flipflopping on tariffs? The tariffs the gov now needs to pay back after businesses raised prices to compensate for them?
That’s when he was going to send out those tariff checks out of thin air. It worked during Covid so he figured he would try it again.
lot of people love what ice is doing and are happy to suffer any minor inconvenience over that, a significant portion of them also like watching the moral outrage from the libs as a bonus
A shocking number of people are really happy about his immigration policy.
SHOCK POLL!
Ah, but you have to zoom all the way in on the very end!
it’s the same 1% drop you see in the rest of the graph. His approval is bad, but that .9% is no crater.
This happened to me yesterday and might help explain why his approval is still so high:
I’m in my 40s, sitting in a waiting room, waiting to consult with a doctor about the ol’ snip-snip. The room is filled with aging boomers and gen-x of all walks of life. I mean, the next youngest patient in this room is probably 20-years my senior. Some random guy down the seat row on the other side of the room is talking to someone, presumably his wife but maybe an older female child, about mutual family and friends and the goings-on. I’m ignoring everything as usual until I hear, ‘I know you don’t like tRump…’ My ears perk up.
He goes on to talk about finding these tRump coins online and inquires into whether some acquaintance of theirs, or their offspring, might like one. I can’t really hear the woman’s response, but she clearly doesn’t want to talk about this now, in this place, and within easy earshot of every soul in the room.
He reiterates that he knows that she doesn’t like tRump, but this is about someone else and if she thinks the coins might make a good gift. I still can’t hear the whole response from the lady, but she mentions the AI Jesus post. Dude seemed clueless as to what she was talking about. He says, ‘no, I hadn’t heard about that’. She goes on to explain how much it upset people and the backpedaling he tried to do to sane face with Christians.
Here’s a dude buying tRump coins as gifts like a dude might buy a sports team’s merchandise, not knowing the shit that’s actively perpetuated by that sports team. It’s clear that most are not on tRump’s Twitter clone for infantile adults, but likely only see the posts that some Facebook groups want them to see. Whatever echo chamber these people are siloed in is going to great lengths to isolate that 33% from the real shit tRump does.
I hear you and I want to acknowledge that people are complex and many otherwise good people are caught in these echo chambers doing or supporting bad things.
That said, it’s no fucking excuse to not educate yourself and stay up on the news.
No excuse, but that anger seems to only exacerbate the issue. For what its worth, i think the information age has created a huge curse of knowledge between generations and social economic groups and social media is being weaponized to increase this phenomenon
The “curse of knowledge” is a cognitive bias where experts or informed individuals fail to accurately imagine what it is like not to know something, assuming others share their level of understanding. This leads to poor communication, teaching difficulties, and overestimating others’ knowledge. It differs from the Dunning-Kruger effect, where people with low ability overestimate their competence.
These people barely understand that different news sources exist. They just learn things from “the TV”.
“Social Media? I think my nephew told me about that once in 2014, but I can’t remember what it is.”
it’s no fucking excuse to not educate yourself and stay up on the news.
you mean watch Fox news on the TV?
…not knowing the shit that’s actively perpetuated by that sports team
I may consider this reasonable if the Doctor Jesus thing was the odd thing the child rapist had done but we are literally talking about 2 scandals per week at minimum. What you saw there is not a man who is out of the loop, what you saw in display was one of the true American values: “willful ignorance”
The MAGA slogan: Don’t bother me with facts, my mind is made up.
like cement: thoroughly mixed and permanently set
When all you consume is garbage like Fox News and Newsmaxx, you never see like 95% of the shit he does.
I have definitely heard the “I know you don’t like tRump…” intro to a statement from his supporters (who happened to be family or friends) at least a few times before. It’s too early for me to analyze the commonality right now.
It’s lampshading to deflect negative reactions.
“I said I know you don’t like him, you don’t need to keep repeating it.”
The only future for the world is the fact that most Boomers will be dead in the next 10 years.
Seems to high.
Still too high approval.
That is the shocking part.
Not that shocking when you really think about it. Nixon had 24% approval when he resigned. Since then entire right wing media networks have been created specifically to ensure republicans don’t have to suffer the same accountability. That’s to say nothing of the countless bots on social media.
Think about how much money and influence is being focused on keeping Trump and the GOP palatable until the midterms, then remember that only 1 out of 3 people are actually being fooled into thinking he’s doing a good job.
33% of Americans approve of:
Child trafficking and rape
Collapse of rule of law
Shifting the tax burden entirely onto the poor
Mass kidnappings of minorities and dissidents
The building of concentration camps
Illegally kidnappibg foreign leaders
Raping developing countries of their resources
Unnecessary, unprovoked and illegal wars of aggression
Bombing of little school girls
Genocide of Palestinians
Genocide of Hispanic Americans
Genocide of anyone not white
Rampant stagflation
Collapse of any semblance of the American dream
And that’s just scratching the surface
But surely the leopards won’t eat my face.
I hope those people burn in hell.
I know it’s not an excuse, but I doubt they all know and knowingly support all of this. There’s plenty of people utterly un- or misinformed about what’s going on in the world or inside the US. There was this video recently where they interviewed beach-goers about the Iran war. They barely even knew what a war or Iran was.
The thing is, you can tell them all about it and they still won’t question their support
Yeah, the ignorant way they cope with the truth does come close to malice.
You’re right. It’s not an excuse. In fact at this point, I don’t even know why it would come into consideration.
Because you can’t dismiss 30% of a population. They need to at least partially be taken along, just because they’re too many to just declare war on.
Let’s declare war on a more manageable percentage and definitely without compromising core values. So we gotta pierce the bubble of the misinformed, but defeat the ones who misinform out of malice and self interest.
Wars have been fought and won against worst odds and worse circumstances.
Wtf? Is that a typo, because Whittier is the street I live on.
It was autocorrect. I must’ve been typing 1 handed
I know the video you’re talking about.
I doubt a bunch of random fuck beach going horny frat bros are the best metric for measuring gauging the degeneracy and malice of the average right winger.
We’ve far exceeded the point where MAGA ignorance and MAGA malice have converged, and are one in the same. Behind them is a river of blood that only grows.
And when confronted with reality, invariably they will choose to reject reality, rather than come to terms with their actions. They are all simply evil, ignorance or intention be damned.
Then I realize it’s not a part of a menu to pick from … it’s bloody fucking ALL of it!
Based on what? Even Nixon bottomed out at 27%
People need to get a grip on the fact that at least a quarter of this country are shameless white supremacists.
That’s a bit more than the number of people who voted for him. So technically he’s doing better than before he went into office.
The News:

Trump will be remembered as the worst president in history.
He already was in 2020, but then:

His followers are now dead to those of us that have any semblance of a moral compass.
That’s the difference between this time and last time. No more forgiveness, no more tolerance. It’s time to use the big stick.
And what, send them stern letters. What are you honestly going to do to them?
We thought that the first time
But you forget that Harris would be just as bad. And she would eat Palestinian babies while she did THAT laugh!
She would have been no different from Biden on Israel and we
just learned that she was also planning to attack Iran, per an interview with a staffer. She campaigned with Liz Cheney, the architect of the Iraq war (yes really, look it up I’m not your search engine) and she dropped all her outreach to the left and campaigning against “weird” Donald Trump to this sudden pivot to “the most deadly military on Earth” and tax breaks for capital owners.I voted for her because she was better than Trump but you can stop with all this woke neolib Bill Maher-ass wokescolding horse shit. No one wants to hear it or cares. No one’s mind is being changed by your need to feel intellectually superior in the most smug Reddit ways possible. Go fucking touch grass.
EDIT: https://www.aol.com/news/ex-clinton-national-security-official-143327291.html
I got it mixed up, It was a Clinton staffer, and he said she wouldn’t have “had the courage”
She still would have been way better than this stuff. And that’s the point.
As for intellectually superior, it usually seems to be the ones that love to gloat that they are Above It All ™ because they did the most ridiculous foot-stamping huffy thing that a supposed functioning adult could possibly do when it comes to civic engagement, and that’s stay home or vote third party. And they looooove to tell everyone about it, too.
You fucking voted for her because she was obviously the better choice. But you get pissy because people point out she was the better choice - in the face of so many people not voting for her even though they were more aligned with her than trump for stupid reasons and that margin cost her the presidency.
Yeah I remember when Biden attacked Iran. There’s no way to know what ACTUALLY would have happened. But I can guarantee that it would not be this chaotic.
It doesn’t matter what a staffer said. They would not have all the information.
ALL politicians promise things and have to pivot once they have all the information. To think that Harris would have done this same level of fuckery is willfully ignorant. Saying she would not let Iran get nuclear weapons at by all means necessary doesn’t mean she would have just followed Israel headfirst into this. It is just plain wrong.
Listen I am glad you voted for Harris. You can stop with the weak argument that everything would be the same.
In addition to the other good points others have made, it’s weird you compare this to Bill Maher. The dude is basically a conservative now.
Not sure he’s conservative, he’s often just annoyingly contrarian - he really prides himself on being “that guy”, and he’s definitely a carrier of the Murc’s Law virus. He’s not exactly Patient Zero for it, or even the worst offender - David Brooks shares a lot of the blame, at least in more recent times. But he’s up there with carrying the torch for it.
I’ve seen him do so much both sides nonsense. He is still clinging to Israel, FFS while acting like those that protest Gaza are actually antisemites. He keeps harping on the trans thing.
He’s exhausting to watch and at this point, I’m mostly hate-watching him. And his guests at least on the panel make up an array of annoying choices.
But one thing he isn’t, and it is not someone that really is going to the mat for Kamala or Biden. If anything, he’s almost exactly the kind of guy that would love to gloat “told you so” about how Democrats can be disappointing, as if that’s some big revelation, LOL.
You have a point, but the ways he’s contrarian to me seem to indicate as stubborn conservatism lying dormant.
Lies, don’t peddle bullshit
Woke wokescolding
Based
It’s still wild as hell when I have a conversation with some reactionary centrist and just casually drop that in there that he’s the worst president in history and I get this WellWhatAboutBidenOrKamala?! shit.
It’s just mind-bogglingly stupid.
Sure, Biden is not perfect. Liberals have an entire litany of items they could go over. And he’s also, {clutches pearls, gasps, gets the vapors, staggers to the fainting couch} old, ZOMG. And apparently now that’s inherently bad as we employ the Fallacy of the Young, I guess?
But I would have been just fine with his staff Weekend’ing At Bernie’s that guy over the option of this PEDOnald crime wave of a “presidency”. Easily. Without question.
These people that start up with the “yeah, but I had to live under Obama, and I had to live under Biden, and you can suffer this, too” shit are just so very fucking stupid. I have no idea what cross they think they had to bear under either of those Presidents? They never seem able to articulate anything remotely cogent.
I have no idea what cross they think they had to bear under either of those Presidents? They never seem able to articulate anything remotely cogent.
That’s because Fox News has been hooked up to their emotional reward center for three decades, and their Pavlovian emotional response is the entirety of their political belief system.
Please remove “president” ,he’s the worst in everything .
The worst president in history SO FAR.
He’ll try to be worse in his third term.
And hopefully last. The USA neeeds to rebuilt from the ground up either as a whole new country or as any number of smaller ones. There’s no way for Americans to elect their way out of this because the rest of the world doesn’t know when you all will just elect another Trump - and at this point we don’t really care as we’re well into the process of cutting all ties
He was that the first 4 years I really cannot comprehend the stupidity of people who supported him a second and 3rd time
33% are plain dumb.
Dumb, Evil, potato, potahto
1 in 3 still support convicted felon, religious extremist, suspected pedo and known war monger who oversees creation of ICE and extrajudicial killings (domestic and foreign) whilst screwing the majority.
Don’t forget rapist!
https://apnews.com/article/trump-rape-carroll-trial-fe68259a4b98bb3947d42af9ec83d7db
Pedophiles are rapists
I don’t think he’s personally a religious extremist. Those are just the useful idiots he caters to and his handlers can exploit.
You have it backwards. Trump is the useful idiot by which the religious extremists are getting their agenda successfully implemented.
It’s useful idiots all the way down.
That’s like half of religious extremists though.
You know the funny thing? Hitler also doesn’t appear to have been religious. But he used religion (both Protestants and Catholics) extensively to help him gain power. Interesting that Trump appears to have taken inspiration from Hitler (like that whole book of Hitler’s speeches on Trump’s bedside table). Birds of a feather…
I feel like if we put every current Trump supporter in prison, the rate for every single type of crime would fall by 90%.
Ready for him to lose midterms, have the Reichstag burn down, and have him declare an emergency.
33% of the US are traitors. Not just to the US, but all of humanity.
They are all Nazis or Nazi sympathizers.
Which is functionally one group
I’ve lived in a area thet is mostly red area from birth until about age 20…
It is absolutely stunning the level of ignorance from many (most) MAGA. The circle jerk eachother something fierce.
Traitorous is an appropriate word for many, but for many-also- they are so uneducated, so uninformed, so lacking in critical thinking and accurate up-to-date news that, for those people, they may as well be considered retarded; and are victim to the FOX et al news and media sources. I dont know how the nation will ever get this cohort to change, unless there is a concerted (and well effective I guess)effort to improve education and some sort of changes to cable news, Facebook news and other uncool places where these peoppe get their news.
The rural people problem…
66% allowed him into office through action or inaction.
Right, that’s how it works.
33% of Americans are so fucking stupid. They’re happy to hurt themselves knowing that democrats will also be hurt. It’s weird and sick.
Catholics leaving the church because they follow that shitgibbon over the friggin POPE is insane. Really shows they didn’t read that book they kept waving at everyone…
Also proves it’s a cult
Deprogramming is going to be painful. If at all possible.
They’ll happily eat shit just on the chance that a liberal will smell their breath.
Stupid is dead accurate.
They claim to value nonbiased public education, yet clearly- they bias the education given in the areas they are dominant in. In public schools at, home, and any where elsen 2 MAGA are present, circle jerking ensues…they honestly need serius help / teaching-although many aren’t teachable true
Which still shows that 33% lack basic skills for poitical reasoning.
Aka Republicans.
