If you search driftglass blogspot and burn the lifeboats, he’s written about it (and probably so has his wife, bluegal) and talked about it on their podcast several times over the years in regards to the teabagger movement and the offramps given to Republicans so they can temporarily claim to be “independents”, and then go right back to voting Republican.
