German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Monday criticized the United States for going into the Iran war without any strategy, saying this also makes it harder to end the conflict.
Actually no. “At least we are not Nazis anymore” isnt worth shit. Germany owned their past pretty well if you ask me, much better than the US with the confederacy or native Americans. They deserve to complain about their leadership in peace.
German democracy isn’t “winner takes all”, it’s the opposite, they need to form a coalition and nobody likes them enough to do it, so these numbers aren’t as scary as they could be. Still, terrifying, but not immanently so
Nazis never achieved absolute majority of the vote. Only after being enabled by the “conservative right” did they basically abolish the state and founded a new one where only 1 party was allowed.
As a German I’ve been humiliated by that sorry excuse of a human being for a long time. Capitalist, egoistic, inhumane douchebag.
As a German, I was gonna write pretty much this but got baited to more direct insults :)
Germany has known worse leaders…
Is that supposed to make us feel better?
Yes. At least you’re not majority voting for nazis anymore

Fair point
Afd coming in hot :(
man, wouldnt that be the icing on the shitcake. Its heartening to think that things could still get worse.
That’s the lowest possible bar

You’re right, thanks.
“It could be worse”
Same question :D
One. Edit: Two, forgot Kiesinger
No, come on. More than one.
I really want to disagree with you, but Kiesinger was a literal Nazi and Kohl was blatantly and openly corrupt.
Shit I forgot about Kiesinger.
