    It was not fine

The pool has had a history of bad filtration and would cost a lot to fix it, which is why it was never really fixed

On one hand it looks like shit but on the other hand who cares? Big picture, this isn’t a major issue worth sinking a bunch of money into

But Obama did try to invest some money into fixing it but that was also a failure in that nothing really changed. Obama spent “a lot” of money and got basically no results

So Trump, trying to be better than Obama, has taken it upon himself to fix it. Except, Trump can’t seem to do literally anything right and so now it’s actually worse than it was

So Trump, trying to be better than Obama, has taken it upon himself to fix it.

That’s just the rationalization. The real reason he “fixed” it, was because it was a classic real estate developer kickback scheme. That’s his bread and butter - get a big contract, do as little as possible for as cheap as possible, and split the profit with whomever gave you the contract.

He’s now graduated to being by the guy who hands out the contracts, and gets the kickbacks. That’s why he’s doing all the renovation and construction projects. The Ballroom, the Arc De Trump, the Reflecting Pool, etc., all kickback schemes.

The Kennedy Center was going to be his entertainment propaganda center, but when EVERYBODY cancelled, he announced a 2 year renovation - another kickback scheme - but the court stopped it.

Oh, and these projects tend to go over budget, which is all profit.

THAT’S why he did it, not to fix Obama’s supposed failure. We don’t even know if it’s true, since the only information comes from the government. It might have been working just fine, but Trump is always going to say that he rescued the world from certain disaster…in two weeks.
