Judge Denise Casper ruled that the president lacks the authority to oversee elections and rejected the Trump administration’s unsupported claims of “widespread illegal voting, discrimination, fraud, and other forms of malfeasance and error.”
“While the Constitution vests the President with ‘executive Power’ and commands him to ‘take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,’ it does not grant the President any specific powers over elections,” Judge Casper wrote.
The idea of needing a passport in order to vote was unworkable when most Americans don’t even have a passport. We Americans are not well travelled, unfortunately.
If Americans were well traveled, we wouldn’t have elected this fascist. Twice. These white nationalists believe in the supremacy of their race because they’ve never been exposed to actual other races and cultures. They just know what their media tells them, and they choose media that tells them that they’re right and that those people are why they’re not wildly successful. And they aren’t interested in traveling because those people are over there. But they actually believe that they don’t have a racist bone in their body, because I guess the line separating their thing from the label of racist is actually participating in lynching themselves?
As permanent as our human rights.
