Donald Trump is leading a deeply corrupt, fascist administration that seeks to punish and imprison his enemies – big and small, real and perceived. The unpopular president and his team are laying the groundwork to try to steal the 2026 midterms, and they’re not even trying to hide it.

Democrats in Washington, meanwhile, are hyper-focused on… condemning a left-wing podcaster, Hasan Piker, and distorting his comments criticizing Zionists as a way to marginalize and block the rise of anti-Israel voices on the left.

With less than 10 weeks to go before the election, the opposition party is using this crucial time to demonstrate their continued fealty to Israel – despite its deep and growing political unpopularity in the U.S., its horrifying genocide in Gaza, and the ruinous Iran war that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dragged America’s idiot president into.

It makes me livid that the danger Hasan is pointing to is real and yet centrist Dems can’t even handle the subject being brought up without having performative meltdowns.

How was the DNC was captured? I want to be sure I’m understanding you.

We’ve all made bad statements and jokes in our youth and Hasan is no different. What are you basing this piece of shit human stuff on? I hope it’s not the false animal abuse stuff pushed by right wing reactionaries.

Like it or not, (and a lot of people don’t like it), Piker has a huge influence over young people on the left. He’s been able to mobilize his fans to help elect Dem Socialists across the board. That’s a positive thing in my view.

Yeah, piker has had his shit talking justified or not really come back to bite him. In a way previous generations struggle to understand. For them thousands of shitty, poorly thought out statements diffused into the air they were spoken. Never to be seen or heard again. If someone was upset with what you said, you must have been very adamant in saying it.

Now with social media, and everything you say or do being recorded. It can be held against you for posterity indefinitely. Every meaningless little brain fart or slip that would have amounted to nothing in the past. Can now be used to hang you. It’s going to take adjustment for both the older and the younger Generations.

The crazy thing is people could look at both issues validly but seem incapable.

Piker has a huge influence over young people on the left

This seems bad, not because of Piker but because we as a society keep buying into this myth of stoic individual leaders who see the truth and giving individuals outsized influence. Of course that isn’t what anyone brings up about Piker because it would also impact their favourite mouthpiece if people woke up to it.

He’s been able to mobilize his fans to help elect Dem Socialists across the board.

This is good. People are rallying behind a cause and toppling entrenched wealth for it. People do these absurd purity tests all the time like with Piker and forget the bigger picture or fail to think long term. No one will pass every purity test. Ever. People just need to recognize tackling the biggest issues and keeping momentum is important

Are we giving Piker outsized influence or has he attracted a large audience because the DNC has abandoned young and working class people?

I view it more as society as a whole doesn’t tackle that topic and so people fall in line with someone if that makes sense. No one is specifically giving him the influence.

It’s the very fact anyone can attract a large audience just by talking and become a celebrity that people follow

Maybe the DNC could learn a thing or two from Piker then.

Ironic that we’re in the midst of a revival of Dune, with millions of people seeing it then going home and giving money to their own little lisan al-gaib without a scrap of self awareness.

You are so obsessed with Hasan Piker you can’t help but see him as the main character of the first Dune book?

              …what?

Hasan is a twitch streamer get a damn grip on reality.

I have repeatedly informed you that I have in fact looked into it and you keep acting like I haven’t.

Sorry but this is not good faith conversation behavior and I won’t tolerate it. Goodbye and have a nice day.

No, you finally admitted once that you don’t like how he streams and talks to his donors on Twitch. That’s not the same as actually looking into Piker as a whole.

How was the DNC was captured? I want to be sure I’m understanding you.

They weren’t careful enough about where their money was coming from and wound up beholden to interests that compromise the values they’re supposed to stand for.

Ok so you’re talking about being beholden to corporate interests, yeah?

The only way Piker is trying to influence the DNC is by holding them accountable to what they’re supposed to stand for and pull them back from how far the Overton window has shifted. That’s why he campaigns with Democratic Socialists.

Not exclusively. I am a spiritualist. I don’t care where the money comes from. If there’s a link in the chain from the people to the politician that has any questionable attribute, that link should be removed.

What garbage behavior are you talking about specifically?

I’ll admit that I don’t watch his streams because he can absolutely be abrasive and he gets “one-guy”ed a lot from his chat. But that’s independent of what his beliefs are politically.

One’s beliefs mean nothing if those beliefs don’t call them to better behavior.

I’ll admit that I don’t watch his streams because he can absolutely be abrasive

You telling me to look into him then saying this is kinda cracking me up tbh. You should watch them. He styles himself a symbol of hyper masculinity, which is never anything but a thin excuse for continuous, unrepentant, uncalled-for mistreatment of the people who support him. He reminds me of every overachieving narcissistic bully I’ve ever met. He raises so many red flags just watching him talk to his own supporters that I literally cannot believe leftists tolerate him among them, no matter how much cash he brings to the table.
