Long deployments at sea means stretched maintenance schedules. And for what purpose? Nobody really knows. Israel has nukes, why can’t Iran? In fact, as far as I can tell, the cosmetic damage to the ship has nothing to do with its combat readiness. I’m sure at some point it’ll get maintenance, get repainted, and be taken care of, considering it’s an active-duty ship.
