I’d agree with your statement if it was simply the picture of the ship and the text criticizing Trump, but context is provided about the ship and I think that most people are aware of the horrible misuse of this ship and her personnel.
This is the meme shown in the feed that everyone is going to see. Some people might go into the comments section for additional context, but most won’t. And very few are going to actually fact-check it like I did.

That’s the problem I’m criticizing. The photograph may be real, but the way it is presented encourages people to draw a connection between Trump’s military spending and the cosmetic condition of the ship without providing the context necessary to support that conclusion.
