For me, I watch tons of anime and I always find it funny when the characters try to speak English, especially if it’s supposed to be a native English speaker. There are also all of the loan words which they’ve modified to fit better into the flow of the language, but they sound funny/cutesy to me/English speakers.

I am very careful to remind myself that anime isn’t real life and I’d never make fun of a real life Japanese person trying to speak English, but for anime it’s part of its quirky charm.
