It is pretty amazing to me that some people really have to be told not to bring their expensive electronics into the shower. It’s the shower, just wash your dirty ass and get out.
I mean i kinda get it i take fifteen minute showers but ill put on a video helps me keep time too so i know how long i been in there. I also don’t take super hot showers so there’s no steam, idk maybe yeah if i had the shower all the way hot it’d be a problem but i take a nice hot shower and there’s not much steam idk
Some special shampoos require you to be sitting there for like 10 minutes until it does its thing. I thought it was safe since water was no longer coming out of the shower, I didn’t consider the high humidity environment.
Some hair dyes can have you standing there for 10 or 20 minutes.
Sometimes just enjoying the steam is nice.
It’s taking a lot of Blood Sweat and Tears to build a modern world, we are fortunate to have hot safe water on top. I’m going to spend my time and money standing under the boiling shower head and enjoy myself for far longer than everyone else is going to decide is reasonable, I’m going to keep reading and listening while I do so.

Ive brought my phone into the shower for decades and it has not caused any problems ever.
You’re not alone, same same. Folks in this thread have a very narrow definition of the role and the duration of the shower.

Feels so awkward to jack off in the shower. I much prefer doing it sitting in the toilet.
When I say special shampoo I mean it. Like the one time my dog got fleas so I used anti-flea dog shampoo just in case. It took forever.
Why not use that time to soap up and rinse off your body while you wait for the shampoo to do its thing? That’s what I do.
Washing and rinsing doesn’t take that long. I usually shave or clean the shower while I wait, and even that doesn’t take long enough sometimes

Then I gotta condition and I feel slick
I find it meditative… washing the nooks, rinsing, etc. I do, sometimes, run music outside on a counter with a door open.
