It’s been a decade at this point. Bernie lost because he had fewer votes than a former First Lady, and senator who has been a part of the party for decades.
Bernie lost because, in his entire tenure in the senate, he didn’t want to join the team. He sat off on the sidelines (voting with the democrats but not being a part of the apparatus), and then decided he wanted to be the captain of the football team.
Did the super delegates favor the establishment choice? Yeah. They favored her over the guy who joined the party that summer to run for president. Is this really that surprising to people?
It’s been a fucking decade. If online liberals put half as much energy into organizing that they did complaining about Bernie losing then trump would never have been fucking elected in the first place.
I’d say it’s actually more embarrassing than that.
2016 he was caught by surprise that black voters in the south preferred the centrist candidate.
2020 the same thing happened to him and he did absolutely nothing to shore up that weakness. He learned nothing. He even got lucky at the start with the field of centrists splitting the vote, but eventually they sorted their strategy out and beat him.
Bernie just has the worst goddamn campaign instincts. I remeber hearing his campaign staff were all people who got rejected from the Obama 08 campaign, and instances where his door to door knockers would try to argue with anyone who said they weren’t voting for Bernie.
Add in that he endorsed Graham Platner, it’s clear he just never had the juice.
Bernie is the prototypical idealist. He says the right things, but because of his inability to actually compromise he does nothing.
He’s been a meek politician at best, who says the right thing. The downvotes on here just prove my point. The truth is hard to look in the face. And the people who sat at home are just as fucking guilty as the people who voted for trump.

You’d have a much better point if Hillary didn’t proceed to lose against the man who went on to become the most inept President at time of writing.
