Interesting take considering the OG Iron Front was anticommunist by definition, obviously communism was one of the arrows.
Since I don’t rEaD ThEoRy, I had to look up what the fuck dengism was. Seems like a weirdly specific thing to want destroyed, something only someone in lefty spaces would know or care about.
It’s just weird to me to take something anticommunist and trying to make it communist-friendly. Like trying to make an anti racist black Klan, with robes and pointy hoods and cross burning (anti-theism!) and everything.
… Dengism is what most tankies today simp for, since, in practice, the PRC currently follows that line. Anti-Dengism is anti-totalitarian communism (or ‘communism’, if one prefers), just like in the original Three Arrows.
Tankies have a controversial relationship with Deng because he basically did the Nordic model in China, but with more authoritarianism (and a shit load more corruption). They like the authoritarianism, but they detest the harm reduction capitalism or the idea that the state can use capitalism as a tool to benefit the people. But only when you phrase it like that. If you don’t say “harm reduction” and instead say that China is optimizing its response to imperialist forces beyond its control, then its groovy again.
