Why are “MAGA Republicans” in a separate category from “Republicans”? They’re all MAGA Reublicans; even some of the Democrats are MAGA Republicans.

I’m uninterested in manipulating the uniquely regressive knobs that activate “Republicans” separately from “MAGAts”.

Unless it’s to turn on their class consciousness against all billionaires.

They’re absolutely still two different groups. Doesn’t matter if you’re interested in differentiating them lol

And just to be clear, they’re both shitty. But maga republicans are a powerful minority of the party so you’re basically saying that all rectangles are squares

Even these stats concur with this. If you are wearing a monocle and a top hat and claiming you are a non-Maga republican you are so full of shit I think you are almost worse than the ones that wear their racism on their sleeves.

What Americans want has zero impact on the government. The wealthy in this country make the decisions. Hell, sometimes corporate lobbyists literally write the bills we pass.

MAGA just thinks that it’ll torch the Clintons and not their entire leadership. They will readily accept any half baked excuse for trump and co being on the list. They have no morals, only marching orders.

Isn’t 82% going against orders here? I thing we’ve found an issue that they won’t just move on from which is why it’s important to keep the narrative focused on this

No, the voters, as much as I despise them, are usually genuine with what they want. They’re just stupid and let the media mislead them into thinking there’s crazy conspiracies, and republicans will fix things. Most of them do generally care about pedophilia, and want this released no matter who is on it. It’s part of why they voted for Trump, because he said he’d release it. That was obviously a lie to anyone not in a cult, but I won’t hold it against them that they do actually care.

The party officials? They’re against releasing it. There’s MTG, who is on the right side for once calling for the release, but most of the party will do anything to protect dear leader.

I wish I could have convinced my friend to quit the weird racist shit he got pilled on years ago. He used to be a dyed in the wool Marxist, then spent 10 years on 4chan for some reason and did a 180°. I had to walk away from my best friend of twenty years.

a thought from reading the other reply, i think we can safely say that the numbers of abusers are around there, but i don’t think we can ever find out how many of them are doing it only due to getting off on the power imbalance rather than on the actual person they are abusing. it could be that it’s situational, like suicides. it’s not something i want to think about too much.

            Depends on definitions really.

Online pedo has a low bar ans seems to mean anyone who has any sexual thoughts directed to a factual minor.

Irl you have a distinction between attraction and acting, also between children en teenagers.

Plenty of sick fucks who are into power and general taboo but are not actually attracted to minors themselves specifically. That list is going to have plenty of people like that.

            Vs

Non acting actual pedophiles that are moral citizens privately dealing with a sex disorder. They are just as likely to demand justice as the rest of us.

i also read that somewhere, that it’s not a question of attraction but a question of power. it’s still abuse though.

    “Survey conducted July”

The republican numbers are nowhere near this high today. Nowhere near. I’d guess it’s under 50% now. The propaganda machine has done its job.

Honestly, from my experience in ground zero, rural, conservative America, don’t get your hopes up. While it’s certainly possible that I live in an anomalous bubble, this is a case where the online discourse doesn’t seem to match up to real life, for average, everyday conservatives in my sphere.

Like, there was a bit of discussion when the documents were first unsealed and it was clear that Trump wasn’t planning to release them in full and unredacted as he promised. That lasted a few days. New marching orders and new distractions came out and now it’s all crickets as far as the ears can hear.

Also, I’d be curious to see the source of this information. The graphic makes it look like this came from MSNBC, so I’d say, more evidence is needed as it’s a very biased news source so it’s not like you can just trust them to provide an unbiased view of MAGA and Republicans in general. Like maybe this poll is legit, but also, maybe this was a cherry picked data set that’s not really in line with other similar polls. This isn’t exactly a source you can or should inherently trust.

I guarantee you that most people who are registered as independent don’t know that party exists.

Given that “independent” is supposed to mean “not registered to ANY political party,” it’s more fair to suggest the Independent Party change their name.
