We’ve all been uncomfortable around my grandparents for a while, even before MAGA. I’m not above cutting contact, I already did with my older sister. But my mom is different and she needs to keep a relationship with her parents for her own sake, so I gnash my teeth in private and vent to my wife and we all keep the peace.
My uncle is a different story. He is very much not MAGA, so his cancer diagnosis is just a really shitty cherry on top.
