In attempting to eliminate the alleged regional threat that Iran poses, Trump is inviting an even greater threat to the world. For there is simply no more dangerous world than one filled with nuclear weapons.

Donald Trump doesn’t give a fuck about the future. He only cares about himself. And while it’s taking his sweet time about it, he is aware that his meat sack will eventually rot away, so he can’t waste time.

He doesn’t care about making the world a safer place for his children, and their children. He wants people to respect and fear him, now! The military is an extension of his tiny hands, and he’s letting us know he can grab us all by the pussy, because when you’re the President they let you do it.

I don’t think he was even considering running at that point. Hillary and Bill didn’t suggest that he run on the Republican ticket until 2015-2016. I still think his plan was to lose and get richer on books and interviews complaining about losing. His reaction, and the reaction of his family, on election night 2016 wasn’t one of happiness and relief.

Even if he wasn’t planning on it, the thought process always seems to be there. “They’re going to round us up into camps (because that’s what I would do in that position)” “They’re going to start a war to stay in power (because that’s what I would do in that position)”. Regardless of actual position or power, the vile thoughts of these people always seem to leak out in the form of an accusation.

He just seemed so bothered by all the responsibilities at the start too, like I remember him genuinely complaining several times about all the meetings and stuff he had to do.

Because of his own personal shortcomings. And he was put there because of our personal shortcomings. And he remains there because of Congress’s personal shortcomings. And I complain from my couch because of my personal shortcomings. Everything’s coming up short.

I mean I don’t support the attacks, but I also am not going to pretend I think the world isnt better now that Iran’s leader is dead.

I think the opposite is true. Countries afraid of US invasion already knew that only nuclear weapons could reliably protect them. The lesson for them here is that the US is apparently, at least in some cases, willing to go to war to overthrow them if they’re near to getting those nuclear weapons.

I do expect to see more nuclear proliferation, but by allies of the US no longer confident that the US would protect them, not by enemies who would not otherwise have built nuclear weapons.

Not just that. If a country knows they’re screwed, chemical and biological weapons could also be on the table. Imagine Iran blowing a bomb containing H2S in a Western city.

There are a huge number of Iranian expats across the west. Mostly scientists who fled the regime, hate Khameni, and are likely supportive of regime change in the abstract. But if one of those little girls was a niece or a granddaughter…
