I ride my bike a lot and haven’t needed a tank of gas since this whole thing started and I’m just shaking my head that everyone is losing their shit because this has been going on for a whole 8 days.

I don’t mean to make light of people dying or anything but it just seems like the things I’m seeing in the news makes it seem like it’s been forever already. Oil prices spike because tankers have been delayed a week. The administration is acting like we’re running out of munitions already. Please! With a trillion dollar budget? I guess the US soldiers death toll is around 13, right? Wouldn’t we lose that many in a week during peace time.

Again, not in favor of the war. Not in favor of killing anyone. Not supporting the politics or trying to make light of anything. Just the fact that I’ve seen a lot of reports that imply that it’s been more than a week or so.

Considering many people drive 20+ minutes to work in the US, that gas has gone up $1-$2 dollars (so an extra $10 to $20 per tank), and a shit ton of people live paycheck to paycheck, I am surprised I havent heard more outrage.

Right? I live rurally. I have a 14 acre homestead and live 15 minutes from the closest town, in which I work in. How the fuck am I supposed to bike to work every day when the only way to get to town is a major 110km/h highway?

The delusion some people have around “Well I can just bike to work lol” is fascinating. I bet they believe their food is just grown in the grocery store as well.

No, I think you’re misunderstanding. My observation was that the price has gone up ALREADY, not that there is outrage about the price going up.
