Hmmm I wonder which “antisemitic guesture” the college-aged Republican club was caught performing?

    Wild how that keeps happening!

This is the same party that loves to try to pin the KKK on today’s Democratic Party. That loves to gaslight about how they aren’t really full of racists and xenophobes.

      And yet.

That’s what you thought? It’s a Republican college club in Florida, it ain’t Columbia University, those shit heels were doing Hitler salutes, no doubt.

They probably were, but I doubt that’s what got them in trouble. Musk did it live on stage in front of millions and it didn’t even slow him down.

I think it did really impact people’s perception of him and his brands, but even outside of that, he’s rich. It’s easier to get away with absolutely anything if you’re wealthy.

Oh I thought it was antisemitic behavior that the University of Florida disapproves of.

I thought heil hitlers were mandatory there.

I graduated from UF in 2000. I was not a nazi, much less even close to being a conservative, and nor were any of the people I associated with during my time there, but I guess enjoy your stereotypes of what everyone in Florida is like.

I graduated from UF in 2004. Thing about Gainesville is that there is the college side, and then there is the rest of Gainesville, which is still stuck in the 1940’s.

Yeah, no doubt. Gainesville would be like all the other little nothing north Florida towns if not for the university.

I do, but mostly because most of my family is here. I live in a very red area and I can’t stand most of the people around me, but running away from it isn’t going to help change it.

There’s a lot of good about it and just like Texas it’s more of a purple state than a red one.

I didn’t mean to lump absolutely everyone together with my stereotypes but Ron DeSantis is not helping with that either.

Probably because the Republicans have been trying to use antisemitism as a cudgel to attack the left, so this makes them look bad right now

It’s ironic because the extreme majority of their voters base hate Jews too, and call them words starting with K.

I look forward to these assholes complaining about how they are being censored for conservative speech.

It’s weird because they never are actually in hot water over speaking about the supposed “conservative values” they pretend are so important. No one comes down on them for talking about small government or fiscal responsibility. It’s so weird that they are always engaging in all this hateful stuff. Must be some kind of coincidence. I’m sure it has nothing at all to do with what they really value.

I suppose so. They could probably switch over to Libertarian Party - which also has a racism problem, it turns out, but maybe not as much as the Republican Party.

As it is, the conservative movement is so chock full of people that basically want a dictator with no checks and balances and that centers businesses and businessmen. The racism and the xtian theocratic nonsense got paired up with that because honestly, how many people are going to sign up to a party that funnels even more money upwards and gives businesses even more influence? As long as this is still a democracy, you have to gin up some voters…

So are they gonna be expelled and have their academic lives ruined like the Gaza protesters who weren’t even antisemitic in most cases?
