There are plenty of people who wouldn’t wish to run a campaign and risk their own lives or the lives of their families to MAGA nutcases.
Not everyone has the capability and support to actually do it. I certainly don’t. Stewart does.
And therein lies my issue with celebrities running for office - money and power.
If he knew two years ago what he knows today, I have no doubt that he would have stepped up.

There were multiple progressive YouTube shows/podcasts that made this exact warning in 2020 because trump was just the symptom and we never addressed the underlying problems. Jon knew this as well, but chose not to step up.
