        Its because systemd breaks the “unix” philosophy, which is that each tool should do only one job, and do it well, while systemd does login managing, startup, and a ton of stuff around the system. Also, its development is funded by Red Hat, which some criticize due to a for profit corporation trying to get into linux kernel. Otherwise, the recent age verification field has also had some drama, because it sucks. I take from it that systemd is a free and open source tool that does its job really well, so in the end it doesnt really matter.
