I vote for a law where politicians that lie so transparently as this should lose their jobs immediately and permanently.

If you can’t be trusted with the truth, and let’s be honest here, it’s policière, you shouldn’t be allowed near politics. Or any other job, for that matter, but definitely not politics. .

That does make me think, van you imagine any other job for this guy where he lies his ass off like this, all the time? He’d be fired in a heartbeat.

There are loads of situations and historical events for which “truth” is muddy, but there are many more that aren’t. When found out lying, politicians should be called out for it and publicly shamed. Let them forcibly atearfully apologize in front of the nation once, and he second time it’s out with you.

We should stop this accepted idea that politicians lie and that that’s okay, because politicians be politicians… NO! It’s the one position from which I want to be absolutely certain that I’m hearing the truth

Any indigenous people can feel free to correct me, but I don’t think the anger that caused “truth and reconciliation” to be created, is exclusively focused at Christians.

I would dare say that, the indigenous people don’t care to differentiate the blame for the atrocities committed, by religion.

Also, this whole thing isn’t about you, or your religion Mr smol pp. How about you stfu.

While we’re on the topic, can media companies stop giving this guy coverage? Nobody gives a shit. Go away.

Canadians seem to be less religious on the whole, so let’s hope most people don’t fall for it.

Why won’t PP get a security clearance?? His excuses are BS. Poilievre’s longstanding explanation for not taking the clearance is to avoid the inevitable gag order that comes with access to top security documents. Well, Carney didn’t have a problem with that. What are you hiding??? PP—just do the security clearance. It should be a requirement for every politician!!!

PP is a moron. I’m just glad he’s no longer near me riding-wise. Good riddance. Now if he only had the sense to step down as he’s obviously a hinderance to his party.

Fuck your agenda of pushing your cult into politics. That shit belongs in the privacy of your own home and nowhere else.

Edit: Also fuck substack as a source. Fucking Nazi enablers

As someone who voted conservative the last race this is the idiocy we don’t need from our political leaders, maybe one day we’ll have a government with a healthy mixture of conservative and liberal wants, needs and values but it certainly doesn’t look like that’s happening any time soon. This division is tiresome.

This is the exact same Poillievre and the same party you voted for. They didn’t suddenly change in the last couple months, this is just what Conservatives do. If you want conservatism without the rampant homophobia and christian nationalism just vote Liberal. This isn’t Star Wars, you don’t need some weird light balancing dark nonsense, you just need good ideas and the Conservatives don’t have any of those and that’s why they run on culture war politics instead of doing things for their constituents.

Remember, even back twenty years ago Poillievre looked his own gay father in the eye while he tried to vote away his rights and the party made that guy their leader. Unsurprising after Harper fucked the finances up so bad without anything to even show for it(at least get us something cool if you’re gunna overspend!) and they didn’t have a problem with it.

The community that I moderate is a key reason I didn’t vote liberal this election. both sides have their faults and while I support government funded healthcare an dental an such I also strongly support the choice to live freely without the government having to stick their nose in every little thing you do.

I’m no Christian and certainly don’t believe they’re being targeted to the extent Pierre is making people believe, I stand by what I said originally. Yes I think Pierre is a tool, but I see him as a better tool than Carney.

I am humored at the “both sides” argument here.

You support universal healthcare, dental and such, and vote for people who would sell those services to the highest bidder in the private sector without batting an eye.

By no means am I saying that the liberal party is 100% perfect or immune to bullshit, but there’s a difference between stepping in shit, and taking a swim in a septic tank.

Your voting for the septic tank because you don’t like it when your shoes smell like shit.

          Good job.

I have bad news for you but the Conservatives love to force things on people. It’s a big part of who they are. They vote against LGBT+ people’s rights and many think are supportive of what’s going on in the US. They take away services so that private industry can come in and charge you an arm and a leg for a worse service. They threaten the CBC because apparently for-profit media is somehow less biased(it’s less likely to point out how shit they are and doesn’t ask them hard questions which is apparently “bias”). Alberta Conservatives are trying to put stickers on driver’s licenses belonging to immigrants for fuck’s sake.

The Conservatives aren’t good people and they don’t care about freedom if it means the freedom to do anything outside of their little ideal. Carney also sucks but a) this isn’t a two-party system and b) if the Cons are your lesser of two evils then you need to sit down and process why that really is.

Don’t be a single issue voter.

The best thing you can do is to campaign for election reform among your peers.
